Job Description

+ + Develop and execute category business strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and inventory turnover targets.

+ Oversee end-to-end category management, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and product lifecycle optimization.

+ Lead vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms, promotional funding (MDF, Co-op, VIR, SR), and long-term strategic partnerships.

+ Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and marketing to drive go-to-market strategies and ensure business objectives are met.

+ Monitor category performance through data analytics—identifying trends, growth opportunities, and competitive insights to inform business decisions.

+ Manage category P&L, ensuring profitability through cost management, pricing discipline, and promotion ROI analysis.

+ Guide forecasting and demand planning in coordination with supply chain and logistics to maintain healthy inventory levels.

+ Partner with the legal team on vendor contracts and compliance requirements.

+ Mentor and develop junior merchandising staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

+ Stay current on HDD and broader PC component market trends to proactively identify new business opportunities and innovations.

Requirements

+ + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.

+ Minimum 4–6 years of experience in merchandising, category management, or procurement within the e-commerce or computer hardware industry.

+ Proven success managing P&L and delivering measurable business growth.

+ Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.

+ Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) or SQL preferred.

+ In-depth understanding of vendor programs, cost structures, pricing, and promotional funding mechanisms.

+ Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

+ Familiarity with HDD, SSD, and broader computer components is strongly preferred.

+ Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced e-commerce environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Pay Transparency

This job posting may span more than one job level.The base salary range for this position in Diamond Bar is $68,640 - $80,000 annually.
