Pay Rate:

_The pay rate for this job is $11.50 - $11.50 / hour*_

What you'll be doing as an Eligibility Specialist:

+ Taking applications, verify necessary data and determine eligibility for potential tenants

+ Interview prospective applicants for Section 8 program

+ Explain programs and eligibility requirements to applicants

+ Prepares and sends written request for income verification

+ Verifies income from a third party via telephone and mail or fax

+ Notifies applicants in writing of eligibility determination in accordance with HUD regulations and PHA policies

+ Calculates applicant's total tenant payment and determines eligibility

+ Maintains automated record keeping system and updates records

+ Maintain applicant files

+ Answers incoming calls and handles inquiries from applicants and general publi

+ Compiles statistical data for departmental reports

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

+ Must have high school education or GED

+ Five years of experience in clerical work or interviewing, or an equivalent combination of experience and education

+ Must be bilingual

+ Background Check Required
