    Job Title:** **Machine Operator – Sheeter Operator

    **Location:** Charlotte, NC 28269

    **Schedule:** 1st

    **Pay Rate:** $20.00 - $21.00

     

    Overview

     

    The **Sheeter Operator** is responsible for operating various types of sheeting equipment used to convert plastic film into required sheet sizes according to production specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Operations

     

    + Selects and installs appropriate cutting tools based on production order specifications.

    + Positions guides and adjusts machinery according to required cut dimensions.

    + Operates sheeting equipment to cut plastic film to specified measurements.

    + Measures finished material using rulers, tape measures, calipers, or squares to verify accuracy.

    + Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times.

    + Uses computer systems and barcode scanners to track material usage and verify inventory.

    + Accurately verifies and records production counts.

    + Performs additional production or warehouse-related duties as assigned.

     

    Quality and Safety

     

    + Adheres to all company quality control and safety policies.

    + Participates in regular inventory counts and reporting.

    + Immediately reports any safety hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervision.

    Qualifications

    + Prior experience required — **on-the-job training provided.**

    + Must possess basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.

    + Ability to read and understand work orders and product instructions in English.

    + Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards.

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

    + Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience a plus.

     

    Mathematical and Technical Skills

     

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

    + Proficient in reading tape measures, calipers, and interpreting measurements.

    + Basic computer literacy for data entry and barcode scanning.

     

    Licenses and Certifications

     

    + **Valid Forklift License required.** (Training and certification may be provided on site.)

     

    Physical Demands

     

    + Must be able to lift up to **50 lbs** .

    + Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach with hands and arms.

    + Occasional climbing, crouching, or crawling may be required.

    + Must be able to distinguish colors accurately.

     

    Work Environment

     

    + Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.

    + Moderate noise level; hearing protection may be required.

    + Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
