    Job Description:

    **Schedule** : Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed) - 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

    **Salary:** Based on experience and other qualifications: $23.29 per hour + $1.00 Shift Differential

    Duties and Responsibilities** **:

    + Perform a pre inspection of Spice Room area prior to operation.

    + Perform a pre inspection of all ingredients prior to operation.

    + Follow all published SOP’s.

    + Properly sets up the Spice Room area with all necessary components /materials and scan in SAP.

    + Properly track and confirm all finished product in SAP.

    + Properly track and report all scrap in SAP

    + Ensure all trash is properly disposed of per SOP’s.

    + Ensure all ingredients are weighed properly and labeled.

    + Ensure all reprocess is used in a timely manner from kitchen cooler.

    + Must keep the work area clean and free of debris.

    + All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

    + Must adhere to all safety policies.

    + Ensure that no extraneous materials are released into spices.

    + Immediately notify supervisor and QA of any food safety issue

    + Must be Forklift and standup certified.

    + Must be SAP certified. To keep track and report.

    + Perform sanitation duties as required by quality.

    Essential Functions:

    + Operates and maintains keep equipment in operating order including startups, changeovers and adjustments to ensure efficient operation in the kitchen. Break down and sanitize equipment.

    + Performs periodic quality checks as needed.

    + Consistently maintains clean and safe work area being sure to remove any foreign material that could contaminate product.

    + Communicates with the kitchen as to know where they are in the schedule.

    + Performs efficient and timely change overs according to production schedule to minimize downtime.

    + Trouble shoots mechanical problems to ensure continuous operation.

    + Responsible for submitting work orders for equipment repairs.

    + Must wear all required PPE. (hearing protection, steel toed shoes, gloves)

    + Inform Management of ANY Food safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.

    + Safely and accurately perform all duties as required for this position to ensure the safety and quality of our products.

    + All other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Critical Skill Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.

    + Validation on position or machine will be required after initial training.

    + Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly with little supervision.

    + Ability to follow verbal and written instruction, as well as basic math calculations.

    + Must be able to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.

    + Must be able to work on all lines and perform all positions, including changeovers.

    + Must be able to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays/Sundays, as determined by business needs.

    + Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts.

    + Experience in manufacturing or production preferred.

    + Experience working with manufacturing equipment preferred.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Must be able to work with tools and make small adjustments to equipment.

    + Must be able to do basic math - adding, subtracting and multiplication.

    Physical Demands:

    + Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

    + Must be able to perform the following: standing, climbing, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and stooping.

    + Standing and walking is required 100% of the time.

    + The use of both hands is required 100% of the time.

    + Ability to lift to 50 lbs. frequently.

    + Good hand/eye coordination, motor skills, 20/20 corrected vision and hearing within the normal range.

    Environmental, Health and Safety Requirements:

    + Must wear all required personal protection equipment associated with specific manufacturing work environment and job duties as stated in the Employee Handbook, posted policies, or as assigned by leadership personnel.

    + Maintain clean and safe working environment and follow all safety policies and procedures, such as lock out/tag out, safe lifting techniques, and all others as instructed.

    + Inform Management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.

    Food Safety:

    + Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required.

    + Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.

    + Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.

    + Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.

    + Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.

    + Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

    + In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required
