Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist-Research role within the Motion Analysis Laboratory is a key member of the research and patient care team within the lab. Responsibilities include completing clinical motion capture evaluations, plantar pressure measurements, and various physical function measures on patients of all ages and physical abilities. The Motion Lab PT also conducts research measurements and analyses for a variety of ongoing protocols, originating within the lab and as a service for outside investigators.
Accountable for supporting all aspects of the research and clinical services provided by the Biomechanics lab. Responsibilities include instrumentation evaluation, protocol development, patient and normal subject assessment, data collection, data analysis, and development of institutional systems and procedures. Also responsible for supporting project planning and coordination, grant development, and manuscript preparation.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program and hold current license (or able to obtain license) to practice physical therapy in the State of Minnesota. Advanced post-professional degree training and 5 years experience required.
Prior experience in a research setting, gait lab, or clinical practice with neuromuscular and pediatric patients is desirable. The position requires a highly self-motivated individual with an aptitude for research and comfort with high technology. Should be computer literate, detail-oriented, have strong mechanical aptitude, and have demonstrated writing and presentation skills. The position also requires interest and skills in mentoring and teaching, team building and leading, and evidence of success in working in an interdisciplinary setting.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $83,782 - $125,736 annually.
