Job title: Radar Systems engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced Radar Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our) team. This department is at the forefront of developing and integrating advanced radar systems that support national defense initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping radar system capabilities through concept development, architectural design, algorithm innovation, and performance analysis.This is an on-site position at our facility, requiring close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and direct engagement with internal leadership and external customers.
What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will:
+ Define radar system requirements and translate them into actionable design and implementation plans.
+ Design system architectures and algorithms to meet performance objectives across multiple radar capabilities.
+ Analyze radar system performance data, identify deficiencies, and propose technical solutions.
+ Prototype and validate new algorithms to enhance radar functionality and resilience.
+ Collaborate with agile software development teams, providing subject matter expertise to ensure accurate implementation of system requirements.
+ Present technical plans, designs, and performance assessments to internal stakeholders and external customers.
+ Support modeling and simulation efforts to evaluate tactical software and system behavior under operational conditions.
Focus Areas May Include:
+ Electronic Protection, signal processing, and applied mathematics
+ Hypersonic threat defense and advanced tracking algorithms
+ Target discrimination, search optimization, and battle manager interface integration
+ Radar calibration, diagnostics, and deployed site support
+ Modeling and simulation of radar systems and tactical software
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related field
+ Extensive experience in radar systems engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace applications
+ Strong background in algorithm development, signal processing, and system architecture
+ Proven ability to analyze complex system performance and drive improvements
+ Experience working in agile development environments and cross-functional teams
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical content to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with hypersonic defense systems or missile tracking technologies
+ Familiarity with radar calibration and deployed system support
+ Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, or similar)
+ Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $130.00/hr.
