We are seeking a dedicated Chassis Dyno Technician to oversee the chassis dyno operations at the Allen Park Test Lab. The role involves testing 4-5 vehicles per shift on the chassis dynos. The candidate will be directly involved in driving vehicles on the chassis dyno and setting up exhaust equipment to collect emissions data. Proficiency in operating a chassis dyno is mandatory.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and manage the chassis dyno for vehicle testing.
+ Drive vehicles on the chassis dyno for testing purposes.
+ Set up and attach exhaust equipment to vehicles for emissions data collection.
+ Conduct data collection and analysis related to emissions testing.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in Dyno operations.
+ Strong automotive technical aptitude, particularly in Dyno operations.
+ Proficient diagnostic skills related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with instrumentation and calibration.
+ In-depth knowledge of CAN diagnostic and flashing tools is desired.
+ Strong technical writing skills.
+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
+ Ability to present in front of large groups.
+ Motivated self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks and adapting to changing requirements.
+ Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
Work Environment
The work will be conducted in a clean lab setting at the Allen Park Test Lab. The Dyno Team operates on 2nd and 3rd shifts: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am and 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. Flexibility with work hours is preferred.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
