    Job Title: Electrical Designer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer with a strong background in electrical engineering and design. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have over four years of experience in electrical design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential, along with expertise in creating lighting, power, and systems design packages. A deep understanding of electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, panel scheduling, and distribution system design across various building types is required. Experience in client meetings, coordination with consultants, and representing the company professionally is necessary. Additionally, a strong grasp of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and standards is vital, along with experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff.

    Responsibilities

    + Design most electrical systems independently using company standards, templates, and project-specific logic.

    + Perform detailed load and voltage drop calculations.

    + Participate in the layout and coordination of advanced electrical rooms and complex systems.

    + Perform ComCheck lighting calculations for code compliance.

    + Apply NEC and other codes fluently.

    + Lead coordination and documentation on projects.

    + Attend project meetings.

    + Review shop drawings independently.

    + Provide redlines, guidance, and training to Level 1 and 2 engineers.

    + Help onboard junior team members and embrace the company culture.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

    + 4+ years of electrical design experience.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

    + Experience with lighting, power, and systems design packages.

    + Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and standards.

    + Experience in client meetings and coordination.

    + Ability to mentor juniors and review their work.

    + Strong organization and time management skills.

    + Professional communication skills.

    + Electrical systems, EIT, PE certifications.

    Work Environment

    This position offers a dynamic work environment with a hybrid schedule, allowing for 1-2 days of work from home. The office is located at 116 W 32nd St #12, New York, NY, and features amenities such as a game room and gym. Work hours are from 8am to 5pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
