    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

    Job Description

    The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy, identify damage, and verify compliance with purchase orders. This role requires meticulous attention to detail in verifying quantities and quality, logging received goods into inventory systems, and organizing stock for storage and easy retrieval.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.

    + Verify quantities and quality of items received and report discrepancies to the appropriate departments.

    + Accurately log all received goods into inventory management systems.

    + Label and organize incoming stock for proper storage and easy retrieval.

    + Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.

    + Maintain clean and organized receiving areas.

    + Prepare reports on received shipments and inventory levels.

    + Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

    + Support warehouse operations including picking, packing, and shipping when needed.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

    + Perform tasks including familiarity with packing slips, accurate computer data entry, preparation of bills of lading, and creating shipping labels using UPS software.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-4 years of experience as a shipping/receiving clerk or warehouse admin.

    + Proficiency in inventory control and order selection.

    + Experience with ERP systems and customer service.

    + Ability to use a computer and familiarity with UPS and FedEx software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
