    Salary:75,000 - 85,000 USD / YEAR

Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking a Senior Production Planner to join our Supply Chain Management Team. As a Senior Production Planner, you will play a critical role in leading complex planning initiatives to ensure reliable delivery performance in a high-mix, precision manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for developing integrated production plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and resolving capacity and material constraints. The ideal candidate is data-driven, collaborative, and thrives in dynamic, evolving production systems. This role requires a strong ability to work independently while staying deeply interdependent with operations, supply chain, and program management. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excels at cross-functional communication, tracker management, and thrives in a high-mix precision manufacturing environment. Is relentless, resourceful, and resilient in the pursuit of maintaining service levels to assure manufacturing throughput and satisfaction of customer needs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Develop, manage, and optimize master production schedules to ensure alignment with customer demand, capacity constraints, inventory targets, and material availability across multiple value streams.

+ Translate forecast and customer orders into executable build plans and time phased MRP signals within the ERP system (Infor LN preferred), ensuring clarity of demand at the work order and component level.

+ Lead cross-functional production readiness reviews for new product introductions (NPIs), engineering change orders (ECOs), or build-to-stock transitions. Identify impacts to lead times, tooling, routings, or floor layout.

+ Proactively identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks, material shortages, or labor imbalances by collaborating with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering to generate mitigation plans.

+ Balance strategic and tactical planning horizons: drive weekly execution while supporting quarterly outlook and annual capacity planning.

+ Ensure ERP system integrity by auditing work orders, lead times, lot sizes, and BOM/routing accuracy. Initiate corrective actions to improve planning accuracy and order flow.

+ Mentor junior planners by providing coaching, training on ERP transactions and planning principles, and oversight on schedule integrity, risk identification, and escalation protocols.

+ Create and maintain visual planning tools and dashboards (Excel, Birst BI or equivalent) to communicate backlog risk, line capacity utilization, schedule adherence, and labor availability. Evolve tools and business processes along with the significant growth the business will experience.

+ Participate in daily Tier 2/3 production meetings, escalating blockers and championing schedule execution. Represent planning in weekly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) meetings.

+ Maintain alignment between MRP-generated priorities and shop floor execution, using dispatch lists, Gemba walks, and weekly look-ahead meetings to ensure build sequence, kitting, and line readiness.

+ Model what-if scenarios to support decision-making for alternate builds, expedited orders, or shift changes. Recommend adjustments to batch size, run rate, or shift pattern when constraints emerge.

+ Support inventory reduction initiatives by analyzing WIP velocity, lead times, reorder points, and component availability in high-dollar or long-lead categories.

+ Champion a culture of accountability, compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement across the production planning team and its interfaces with procurement, customer service, and operations. Ensure all planning complies with Precipart’s quality system, ISO 13485 standards, and internal control procedures.

+ Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.

    COLLABORATION RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Act as planning liaison for Program Management, providing delivery commitments and updates.

+ Partner with floor supervisors and cell leads to ensure accurate short-term execution against the master schedule.

+ Coordinate with customer service and order management on delivery commitments and lead time projections.

+ Support the implementation of digital planning tools and planning-related ERP improvements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

+ 5+ years of experience in production planning within a complex or regulated manufacturing environment

+ Proven experience leading schedule development across multiple value streams or product families

+ Understanding of lean manufacturing, takt time planning, and demand-driven scheduling principles

+ Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities

+ Customer Centricity: Builds production plans that support customer delivery, responsiveness, and transparency.

+ Innovation: Improves planning tools, processes, and communication structures.

+ Integrity: Ensures schedule data is accurate, traceable, and actionable.

+ Teamwork: Operates independently with accountability while supporting the broader planning and operations team. Serves team members with data requests and timely updates on customer deliveries.
