Amentum is seeking a Principal Subject Matter Expert for Aviation EW Systems to support our electronic warfare customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic & Advisory Support:

+ Advise and recommend to NAVAIR leadership project level prioritization, feasibility, and alignment with program goal.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in project methodologies across various systems lifecycles.

+ Drive and support continuous improvement across various EW, AEA and AVI programs.

Project Planning & Coordination:

+ Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.

+ Coordinate cross-functional teams and activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.

+ Identify and provide mitigation recommendations for risks, and constraints during life cycle

Data Analysis:

+ Analyze project performance metrics (Cost Schedule and Quality) to assess progress. Create and maintain dashboards and reports for program office leadership.

+ Provide analysis to explain differences between planned and actual outcomes and provide data driven recommendations for corrective actions or process improvements.

Financial Management:

+ Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts. Support cost-benefit and ROI analyses for project proposals and decisions. Provide resource utilization recommendations to optimize performance.

Compliance:

+ Review and Ensure projects adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements.

+ Support and or lead project audits, risk assessments, and documentation reviews.

+ Maintain project documentation in support of status updates and closure reports.

Communication:

+ Prepare and deliver executive level presentations and reports on project status and outcomes.

+ Facilitate communication between project teams, sponsors, activities and fleet stakeholders.

+ Manage expectations and ensure consistent alignment across teams.

Tools & Systems:

+ Administer or oversee use of project management and reporting tools (OFFICE products, Power BI, etc).

+ Streamline workflows and automate reporting where possible.

Required Qualifications:

+ Minimum 25 years of experience

+ Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

+ DAU Level III Program Management background

+ Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts

+ Experience analyzing project performance metrics

+ Experience tracking project costs, budget and forecast

+ Experience supporting and leading project audits, risk assessments, and documentation reviews

+ Experience preparing and delivering executive level presentations and reports

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Active Secret Clearance
