    Job Description Summary – EVS Technician | Housekeeping

     

    The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position is responsible for maintaining assigned areas in accordance with established procedures and infection control standards. The EVS Technician ensures that patient rooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces meet Logan Health’s standards of quality, compassion, and excellence in care.

    Qualifications

    + Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred.

    + Proficiency in the English language required.

    + Ability to follow written and oral instructions required.

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a diverse customer and coworker population required.

    + Prior experience answering phones and responding to pages preferred.

    + Knowledge of the proper use of commercial cleaning equipment and devices preferred.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

    + CPR may be required per assigned area(s).

    Essential Functions

    + Prioritizes daily tasks to maintain efficient workflow and meet departmental standards.

    + Identifies the need and performs duties without specific direction, demonstrating initiative and accountability.

    + Exhibits working knowledge and correct usage of cleaning equipment and devices per assigned area(s); maintains equipment and resources appropriately and safely.

    + Demonstrates understanding and adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control procedures applicable to assigned area(s).

    + Follows confidentiality protocols and safeguards all patient and/or customer-related information.

    + Responds to calls and pages in a timely and professional manner as applicable to assigned area(s).

    + Performs job duties efficiently and according to department procedures, protocols, and State of Montana regulations for assigned area(s).

    + Stocks and maintains assigned carts and supply levels for designated departments in a timely manner.

    + Supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values through positive interactions, professionalism, and teamwork.

    Shift:

    Evening Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

     

    Schedule: Evening Shift | 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM | Five 8-hour shifts per week

     

    Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
