    Job Description

    Parts Technical Inspector III

    Provide high quality customer support at near DEPOT Level repair, on schedule, resulting in written customer feedback and business growth. Proficient for our Government Customer, be committed to providing the best value options to meet the needs of a fast-operating tempo.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Minimum 1-year Direct Support Electronics Systems Test Set (DSESTS) Fully Qualified Operator.

    + Maintain Government Furnished Equipment and Perform monthly and quarterly maintenance on DSESTS.

    + Perform operations and if needed troubleshooting of the DSESTS Equipment.

    + Maintain and care for Government Furnished Equipment for all test cables associated with LRU Testing and Repair.

    + Perform Quarterly Functional Self Tests (FST s) on all Test Modules, or when suspected DSESTS equipment failures occur.

    + Full knowledge of A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles Line Replaceable Units (LRU s).

    + Knowledge of A3 Bradley LRU Functionality / Purpose.

    + Identify all internal LRU parts and components.

    + Perform Thorough Inspections on all LRU s for water damage, or signs of burnt SRU s or wiring, internal damage and bad connections. Provide corrective actions or disposition.

    + Using DSESTS as a tool to identify an LRU failure. Perform alternate troubleshooting and Technical Manual procedures to isolate a problem to a Service Replaceable Unit (SRU)

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Skills:

    + Must have Strong Soldering Skills.

    + Be able to work with small parts and prevent further damage to LRU / SRU s during disassembly and reassembly.

    + Must be able to read basic electrical schematics and knowledge of electronic symbology.

    + Must be able to use a multi-Meter to check Continuity, Dc Voltage, Checking Diodes and bench test Relays.

    + Perform Connector repair / Pin removal and insertion.

    + Maintain TMDE Worksheets and Work Logs.

    + Knowledge of Oracle Data Base for inputting disposition of all work performed.

    + Record keeping procedures.

    + Work well with others (people skills) a must. Working at a TACOM / General Dynamics Facility.

    + Support Training of Active Duty and National Guard units on TAP operations and A3 Bradley LRU testing and repair.

    + Have good House Keeping and Safe shop practice skills and keep the work area organized.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $60961 - $97538

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
