Job Description
The Workbrain and Payroll Expert serves as the subject matter expert (SME) responsible for the configuration, optimization, and support of the Workbrain time and attendance system and its integration with payroll. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, system efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies and labor regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and SME for Workbrain configuration, functionality, and issue resolution.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain and optimize system configurations related to pay rules, work rules, shift premiums, accruals, and scheduling.
• Partner with HRIS, Finance, and Operations to support integrations between Workbrain, HRIS (e.g., Workday), and Payroll systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with IT or vendors for resolution.
• Conduct regular audits of timekeeping and payroll data to ensure integrity and compliance.
• Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and user acceptance processes.
• Develop and deliver training materials and documentation for HR, managers, and employees on timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay informed on payroll legislation and Workbrain product updates to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years troubleshooting and creating resolution for issues within Workbrain. Very strong understanding of the software and ability to read daily reports and check for issues
• 5+ years of experience in payroll operations with strong expertise in Workbrain configuration and administration.
• Deep understanding of pay rules, timekeeping, accruals, and payroll processes.
• Experience integrating Workbrain with payroll and HR systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle, ADP, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
