    The Occupational Health and Wellness Nurse is an advanced nurse generalist responsible for delivering basic wellness nursing services and conducting general administrative nursing duties in either a large high-volume multidisciplinary medical clinic/shift or a smaller stand-alone focus clinic where he/she is required to operate with significant autonomy and individual accountability.

     

    This position serves as a highly skilled, autonomous Total Health nurse within the Total Rewards Department. Incumbents typically have previous general healthcare, acute care, exam program or employee health experience.

    What You Will Do:

    + Supports, organizes and executes wellness exam activities including scheduling exams, phlebotomy, basic nursing assessment.

    + Supports the delivery of wellness communication and on-site wellness programming.

    + Administration of appropriate travel vaccines as ordered.

    + Supports the clinical staff with the delivery of basic nursing services related to employee illness and injury on occasion.

    + Ensures all clinic functions are consistent with Medical Department policies and procedures.

    + Critical thinking, problem solving, and the development of improved nursing practices will be expected.

    + The scope and complexity of this position will be limited by the demands of the location and facility.

    + Job activities are typically defined by standard departmental procedures and the direction of their immediate supervisor.

    + Functions as an autonomous nurse with the ability to respond independently to clinical and administrative demands and within the scope of licensure level.

    + Seeks consultation and expert support when needed.

    + Acts as the local liaison with contracted well-being providers.

    + Acts as the liaison to the local facility and ensures Total Health services meet the expectations of the facility leadership and the employees.

    + Supports local Human Resources and facility leadership in their initiatives toward health, safety, productivity, and engagement.

    + Engages in a supportive role in special projects and program delivery.

    + Seeks ways to innovate, improve and create best-in-class employee health practices.

    What You Have:

    + Licensed as a Registered Nurse, Advanced License Practicing Nurse (ALPN) or International Equivalent

    + Progressively responsible job-related experience in employee health or public health

    + Well-organized and able to work autonomously within the scope of licensure level and limited direct supervision

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    + Outstanding clinical skills and judgment.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Excellent organizational skills.

    Top Candidates Will Also Have:

    + A Bachelor's degree or extensive experience.

    + Familiarity with tools such as Excel Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

    + knowledge in various areas of employee health and Human Resources i.e., OSHA, OSHS, HIPPA compliance, EH&S, HR, ergonomics, health promotion, and/or education / training

    **Additional Info** :

    + The primary location for this position is Irving, TX

    + This role requires 2-3 days a week in the office

    + Relocation is not available

    Summary Pay Range:

    $79,800.00 - $119,760.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
