We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

    Job Summary:

The AI Accelerator is a key enabler of Caterpillar’s next chapter — designed to enable and scale AI adoption and progress across the enterprise. Its mission is to identify opportunities, run experiments, accelerate adoption, ensure AI value realization, support strategic partner engagement, and help develop the frameworks to scale AI solutions globally.

As an Applied AI Product Manager of Dealer Enablement, you will bridge the gap between Cat Digital’s robust and rapidly developing portfolio of AI capabilities and Cat Dealers’ need to apply AI in their own business. In this role, you will partner with Dealers as they contemplate, mobilize upon, and build AI capabilities for their respective businesses.

This role has three critical aspects of Dealer AI enablement:

+ Work with Dealers, ensuring alignment with Caterpillar’s vision for customer-facing AI, helping them to understand where they should invest and contribute.

+ Consult with Dealers and Cat Digital architecture as Dealers consider technology and platform decisions, helping them fully consider open standards, interoperability with Caterpillar AI solutions, commercial risks, and data protection.

+ Drive Dealer awareness of Caterpillar developed AI capabilities and Agents that should be adopted by dealers to unlock value in their business.

    What You Will Do:

+ **Dealer Collaboration & Alignment:** Expertise in ensuring Dealers understand and align with Caterpillar’s vision for customer-facing AI, helping them identify where they should invest and contribute.

+ **Dealer Adoption:** Drive Dealer awareness of Caterpillar developed AI capabilities and Agents that can be adopted by dealers to unlock value in their business.

+ **Dealer Platforms & Technology:** Work with key AI technology partners to ensure that viable and strategically aligned platforms are readily available and feasible for Dealers. As Dealers consider new AI technology and platforms, assist them in rationalizing platform capabilities, adherence to open standards, interoperability with Caterpillar AI solutions, commercial risks, and data protection.

+ **Dealer Acceleration & Enablement:** Help dealers to establish the frameworks and practices applied by Caterpillar’s AI Accelerator. Inclusive of key activities, such as value categories, ideation/prototyping and validation, persona-based AI, scaling & adopting, value realization, and training and upskilling.

+ **Value Realization** : Partner with AI Product teams and adoption teams to ensure Caterpillar developed AI capabilities for Dealers are adopted and delivering to the expected value.

    What You Will Have:

+ **Business Analysis:** Extensive knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques, and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.

+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

+ **Effective Communications:** Extensive knowledge and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ **Software Product Business Knowledge:** Expert knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.

    Considerations for Top Candidates:

+ Expertise in product management, ideally with AI or data-driven products (typically 5+ years).

+ Deep understanding of machine learning workflows, model evaluation, and AI system limitations.

+ Experience working with dealer networks or customer-facing platforms.

+ Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

+ Familiarity with tools like OpenAI, Hugging Face, AWS SageMaker, or MLFlow is a plus.
