    Part-Time Wine & Spirits Specialist – Sommelier

     

    Pay Range: $24.50 - $28.00 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience

     

    Must be at least 18 years and older

We’re looking for a passionate, customer-focused Wine & Spirits Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves sharing knowledge, connecting with customers, and staying on top of the latest trends.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Be the go-to wine and spirits expert on the sales floor, providing friendly advice and pairing recommendations.

    + Build real relationships with customers — you’ll maintain a “black book” of top clients and stay in touch via email, phone, and in person.

    + Write weekly newsletters and product features.

    + Suggest new products and trends to help keep our store fresh and exciting.

    + Host tastings, lead classes like Wine 101 or Spirits 101, and run in-store events.

    + Create cocktail recipes and curate recommendations for customers.

    + Assist with merchandising, signage, and in-store displays that tell a story and drive sales.

    + Lead staff trainings and tastings to share your knowledge and build confidence on the floor.

    + Help with special orders, promotions, and opening/closing the store as needed.

    + What You Bring:

    + 5+ years of experience in the wine and spirits industry.

    + Industry certification(s) such as WSET, CSW, or equivalent.

    + Deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings — plus a passion for sharing that knowledge.

    + Strong customer service and selling skills.

    + Availability to work evenings, weekends, and key retail holidays.
