About the Role:
CBRE is currently seeking a dedicated Sr. Chiller Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 1st shift position supporting the Honeywell Aerospace account, offering a Monday through Friday schedule. As a key member of the Engineering and Technical Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of the system's facilities. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the reliable performance of vital building systems.
The Sr. Chiller Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including comprehensive maintenance and repair of chillers, along with plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems. This role is vital to the smooth functioning of the health system's infrastructure. You will be instrumental in providing essential support through preventative maintenance programs and timely repairs, contributing directly to a safe and functional environment.
What You’ll Do:
+ Routinely monitor and adjust chiller system settings, perform scheduled maintenance, and run diagnostic tests for efficient operation.
+ Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including troubleshooting faulty components and refrigerant leaks.
+ Address alarms promptly, record operational data, and coordinate with other staff to resolve problems and restore technical service.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, system configurations, applications, and technical reference materials.
+ Participate in user acceptance training and create training documentation for system updates and enhancements.
+ Apply in-depth knowledge to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
+ Coach others, share expertise, build consensus, and lead by example, aligning with company values.
+ Impact a range of activities within the team and other related teams, and effectively explain complex information.
What You’ll Need:
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
