Sales Counter Representative

**Location:** Stockton, CA

**Pay:** $20/hour

**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Overview:

We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused **Sales Counter Representative** to join our team in Stockton. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial sales, especially in the **steel or air tank industry** —who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’ll be the face of our sales counter, helping customers find the right products, processing orders, and ensuring our inventory is well-stocked and organized.

What You’ll Do:

+ Welcome and assist walk-in customers with expert guidance on welding and industrial products.

+ Process sales transactions accurately, including order entry and payment handling.

+ Recommend and upsell products based on customer needs and industry best practices.

+ Provide technical support and product knowledge on welding materials, safety gear, tools, and machinery.

+ Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring high-demand items are readily available and attractively displayed.

+ Handle special orders and follow up with customers regarding order status.

+ Prepare and follow up on customer quotes.

+ Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely delivery and order fulfillment.

+ Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

+ Assist with pricing, cataloging, and sourcing new products.

+ Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in welding technology.

What You Bring:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ **Experience in industrial or counter sales, preferably in the welding or related industries** .

+ Solid understanding of welding supplies and equipment (e.g., rods, electrodes, PPE, welding machines).

+ Strong communication skills—verbal and written.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Familiarity with sales and inventory management software.

+ Positive, customer-first attitude.

+ Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
