Position Summary
The HAF Division, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking a Manufacturing Specialty Technician independently set up and operate moderately complex various manufacturing equipment that requires specialized skill or expertise.
Responsibilities
Standard 2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Shift Differential: $2.00/hr.
+ Independently set up and operate moderately complex various manufacturing equipment that requires specialized skill or expertise.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Capable of proficiency on all types of equipment and setup of equipment used in department within 60 days of hire
• Proficient in all aspects of inspection gages for the area after training period end and ability to train other employees
• Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures
• Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements
• Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days.
• Ability to train team members
• Ability to lead Lean events and high-performance teams as required; ability to train team on Lean methodology
• Participate in 5S activities per Manager request
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
Qualifications
• Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication. For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong Math skills – three-digit addition and subtraction, multiple digit multiplication and division. Converting fractions to decimals. Ability to follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF)
• Ability to work in a team environment, cultivate strong relationships, and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to lead Lean events and high-performance teams as required; ability to train team members.
