    Job Title: DrafterJob Description

     

    The Drafter performs a variety of drafting activities, including preparing assembly and manufacturing drawings, as well as updating installation drawings for various projects. The role utilizes computer-assisted design and drafting equipment and software to develop detailed designs.

    Responsibilities

    + Convert 2D AutoCAD drawings to 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.

    + Create cut lists and hardware lists.

    + Create parts and assemble them in CAD.

    + Answer questions from the shop as they arise during production.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor 3D.

    + Experience with AutoCAD 2D and drafting.

    + Familiarity with Solidworks, mechanical production, and CAD link.

    + Experience in BOM generation, drawing creation, and working with sheet metal and steel.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1+ years of experience with an AA degree in detailing or drafting, or 3+ years of detailing and drafting on-the-job experience.

    + 2+ years of experience in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

    + 1+ years of experience in creating parts and assemblies in CAD.

    + Ability to read and understand technical prints and drawings.

    + ERP experience and understanding of bend tolerances.

    + Experience working with schematics involving sheet metal or steel.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a new facility in Tolleson, AZ, offering ample room for growth and involvement in large projects. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in an office setting. The team consists of six engineers and two other detailers. The dress code is casual, business casual attire is acceptable.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tolleson, Arizona.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
