    IMMEDIATE OPENING: Laboratory Supervisor

    Job Description

    The main role of the Microbiology Lab Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring smooth and efficient laboratory operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.

    + Review operations and work with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues.

    + Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to identify production problems.

    + Hire, train, evaluate, and manage staff, and resolve any personnel grievances.

    + Set and monitor product standards to ensure high-quality finished products.

    + Prepare and maintain comprehensive production reports and personnel records.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.

    + 10+ years of microbiology/chemistry experience working in a CLIA certified or CAP accredited lab.

    + 4-6+ years of leadership or people management experience. Proven leadership of teams with 30+ staff members

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

    + Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

    + High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.

    + Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
