Under general supervision, you will be responsible for performing professional and administrative work in administering a records management program, Work involves responsibility for developing, implementing and directing the overall records creation, maintenance and disposition system for the control of all records in North America.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Must be able to work with a variety of departments and effectively communicate the Records Management Program and requirements.
• Will partner with our internal contacts within the departments to understand the business needs and advise on the proper handling of documents.
• Strive to mitigate risks and maintain confidentiality when advising on the proper handling of company documents.
• Planning & scheduling meetings with various department contacts
• Conduct information gathering sessions with key contacts from each department to review and inventory the documents which the department is responsible for creating and/or maintain.
• Must be able to understand the purpose and intent of the types of documents to classify the records.
• Create and/or Modify the Document Retention Schedule for each department.
• Coordinate and confirm system updates are completed correctly.
• Assist with physical inventory remediation (review documentation, classify documents per the document retention schedule, and identify department responsible for documents)
• Assess IT systems and ensure that all records are properly managed and retained in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees and directs retention requirements for systems and collaborates with IT and appropriate stakeholders to implement countermeasures to ensure compliance to policy and remediate risks. Develops, communicates, and monitors countermeasures to stakeholders to gain support and compliance.
• Sets and directs the records audit plan and schedule for periodic verification of appropriate retention of electronic records within systems.
• Establishes processes to ensure that all PII retention requirements are documented per system and data is disposed of in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Experience implementing a records management program, working with document retention schedules and classification of documents (paper and electronic)
• Strategic and analytical skills with fundamental knowledge of it technologies to achieve compliance to document retention policy
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage/track projects
• Problem solving skills with the ability to resolve business issues independently
• ability to communicate with all levels of management across all Honda companies
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
• Computer Literacy
• Interpersonal Skills
• IT experience
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• High School diploma or comparable work experience
Physical Demands:
• Physical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting and prolonged periods standing
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
