    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for performing picking and receiving tasks for scientific products within our warehouse. You will spend about 70% of your day picking orders using a reach truck and cherry picker with an RF Scan gun. Additionally, 20% of your time will be spent labeling shipments using UPS and FedEx on computers with our NAV system. The remaining 10% will involve helping with receiving products from trucks, which includes lifting up to 50 lbs approximately three times a day.

    Responsibilities

    + Pick orders efficiently, aiming to meet the standard of 18 orders per hour.

    + Must be comfortable operating Crown Reach Truck

    + Ensure all products are clean before shipment.

    + Use a reach truck and cherry picker for picking tasks.

    + Label shipments accurately using UPS and FedEx systems.

    + Assist in receiving products from trucks, including lifting heavy items.

    + Maintain organization and attention to detail during all tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in a warehouse environment, particularly in picking roles.

    + Must

    + Proficiency with RF scanners.

    + Experience using computers for shipping tasks.

    + Experience in a receiving environment.

    + Proficiency with P.I.T., including reach trucks and order pickers.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of LTL processes.

    + Basic skills in Excel.

    + Flexibility in schedule, with willingness to work 3-4 hours of overtime.

    + Good communication skills, both written and oral.

    + Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping systems.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a smaller warehouse with over 15 warehouse pickers. The facility is divided into three zones, and you will be expected to learn each zone and its responsibilities within three weeks. Steel-toed boots are required for this role.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
