Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

+ Demonstrate commitment to company safety procedures with a focus on achieving zero injuries and maintaining clean and safe work areas and equipment.

+ Comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

+ Support the ConAgra Performance System (CPS) actively, focusing on the PM Pillar.

+ Troubleshoot and perform routine adjustments and repairs on industrial equipment and machinery to maintain production and maintenance schedules.

+ Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating equipment to ensure optimal working order.

+ Perform and validate equipment changeovers and rebuilds with a focus on quality workmanship and accountability.

+ Assist in the planning process by identifying parts and work required using SAP, including necessary parts and materials information.

+ Prioritize work based on business needs, maintaining a high level of urgency in task completion.

+ Participate in the Breakdown Elimination process to reduce breakdowns and enhance equipment reliability.

+ Maintain and improve 5S standards.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

+ Ability to perform welding and fabrication as needed.

+ Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair of industrial food manufacturing equipment such as boilers, sorters, sizers, sensors, evaporators, and packaging equipment.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

+ Capability in PLC troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.

+ Demonstrable knowledge of SAP.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.

+ Minimum of two years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.94 - $38.94/hr.
