    Position: Project Manager Location: Cincinnati, OH (CVG Airport area) SUMMARY Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for each project both internally and with the customer. This position is responsible for managing all phases of assigned projects. A typical project includes engineering development, prototype manufacturing, aircraft installation, FAA certification, and transition to production. EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Work closely with the sales team to ensure full understanding of the project scope and constraints. Be the primary point of contact, post kick-off, both internally and with the customer. Work with the project team to develop the project plan, including requirements, tasks, schedule, budget, and identify risks and material requirements. Facilitate internal communications regarding project execution to ensure all impacted departments are working with the most accurate information. Maintain and track the project schedule, action items, open issues, risks, budget variances, and scope of changes. Lead all project meetings with a focus on project execution to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and completion of the project scope. Communicate the current project status and issues to the customer through weekly teleconferences and status emails. Lead Design Review meetings with the customer. Ensure project scope is completed, project data is archived, and lessons learned are recorded. Ensure proper adherence to all L2, customer, and FAA processes. Update, analyze, and present department metrics when assigned by the department Manager. Other duties as assigned may not be specifically stated herein QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES B.S. in Engineering or other technical field preferred. Project Management Professional, PMP, certification desired. 3+ years project/program management experience required. Ability to manage 2-4 medium to large projects at the same time required. Excellent planning and organizational skills required. Ability to lead and manage cross functional teams in a matrix organization required. Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization. Experience in managing stakeholders. Outstanding knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes. Experienced in interfacing with governing bodies such as the FAA or EAS, and their representatives strongly preferred. Experience working on large transport-category aircraft is strongly preferred. Enjoys the challenges of working projects that vary greatly and have distinct potential to require significant changes or alterations in mid-stream, remaining flexible and adaptable. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to successfully lead remote team members and ensure the highest level of performance and commitment. Ability to interpret, negotiate, capture, and manage customer requirements and expectations. Working knowledge of computers and related software. Ability to routinely represent program management and company to stakeholders. Ability to be the company spokesperson for key programs. Ability to convey a positive and professional image to customers. Ability to communicate in an assertive, yet professional, motivating, and tactful manner. Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing with strong negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Must be able to travel if/as required. Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing. Must be able to pass TSA/CVG background check to obtain and maintain TSA/CVG badging.
