    Description

    The Allied Parts Counter Advisor plays a critical role in supporting Wheeler Machinery’s growing digital presence by managing and monitoring online Allied orders through EMBO. This position ensures accurate ordering, strengthens vendor relationships, and serves as the Allied Champion within the Parts Department. The Advisor also contributes to a positive customer experience by providing parts solutions via phone, email, and occasional in person interactions, while supporting branch stores as needed.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Allied-Specific Duties

    + Monitor and manage all online Allied orders in EMBO to ensure accuracy and visibility.

    + Receive specialized Allied technical training and apply best ordering practices.

    + Build and maintain vendor relationships specific to Allied parts.

    + Collect price tapes and support Allied training efforts for branch employees.

    + Serve as the Allied Champion, streamlining processes and improving visibility across the department.

    + General Parts Counter Duties

    + Become proficient in parts across all Wheeler Machinery product lines.

    + Respond to phone and email inquiries with a solutions-oriented, energetic attitude.

    + Research and identify parts using internal systems; create and manage customer orders.

    + Advise customers on part substitutions when original parts are unavailable.

    + Proactively manage need-by dates to minimize emergency fees and freight charges.

    + Provide timely updates on backordered parts, shipping logistics, and availability.

    + Set and manage customer expectations regarding backorders.

    + Monitor and respond to email requests with regular status updates.

    + Collaborate with the asset group to resolve inventory and availability issues.

    + Work daily customer backorder queues (e.g., EMBO report).

    + Process credits when necessary and appropriate.

    + Support Company PCC and digital growth initiatives.

    + Assist branch stores by answering calls and processing orders as needed.

    + Handle CAT hand-ups within the 4-day CAT time frame.

    + Participate in Tyfoom videos and TRACK Card activities daily.

    + Always maintain a professional and positive attitude.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Prior experience in parts, inventory, or customer service preferred.

    + Strong organizational and communication skills.

    + Ability to learn and apply technical training.

    + Proficiency with internal systems (EMBO, etc.) or willingness to learn.

    + Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    + Willingness to assist with inquiries outside the Parts Department.
