Job Title: Chemical Dependency AideDepartment: Inpatient Addiction Recovery ServicesLocation: 20 Cottage Street; PotsdamSUMMARY:Entry-level position for those interested in an exciting, rewarding, and unique career in addiction recovery. Engage with participants as they work to gain sobriety by acting as a sober role model, encouraging and demonstrating the ability to have fun without using, and providing an ear to LISTEN to their stories. Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the safety of all on the unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include: assisting counselors and nurses in day-to-day activities, engaging with participants during down times, documentation, working with a dynamic team to provide a safe and trauma-informed environment as participants learn the advantages of living a sober life.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ High School Diploma/Equivalent.
UNION:
1199 - Service Maintenance and Clerical (CPH)
Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE:
$17.74 - $25.22
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
