Finance Associate 1448051 * Hourly pay: $35/hr * Worksite: Leading university (Redwood City, CA 94304 - Hybrid) * W2 Employment, Retirement Savings Program. * 20 hours/week, 11 Month Assignment A leading university is seeking a Finance Associate. The successful candidate will provide part-time accounting and financial support, including processing transactions, managing reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with university policies. The company offers a great work environment! Finance Associate Responsibilities: * Provide accounting and finance-related support to a department, unit, or program. * Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness and accuracy. * Ensure all financial transactions comply with university policies and federal regulations. * Administer and process travel cards and expense reimbursements. * Establish accounts in financial systems and prepare invoices as needed. * Monitor accounting systems for clearing and outstanding items. * Maintain departmental financial files, desktop procedures, and process documentation. * Review transactions, supporting documents, and journal postings for consistency, accuracy, and proper authorization. * Respond to transactional inquiries from client groups and resolve issues or escalate as appropriate. * Attend occasional on-site meetings. * Support other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned. Finance Associate Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience in Accounting. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and financial compliance standards. * Proficiency with computerized office applications and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle Financials preferred). * Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform desk-based computer tasks. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial transactions. * Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and client groups. Finance Associate Shift: * 5 days per week and 4 hrs/day during office hours. (H)
