• Java & Web Technologies Developer

    CTG (Houston, TX)


    CTG is seeking to fill a Java & Web Technologies Developer position for our client in Houston, TX.

     

    **Duration:** 10 months

    Duties:

    + Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using the latest Java versions (11/17/21).

    + Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, and related Spring technologies.

    + Collaborate on Golang (Go) services for production environments.

    + Integrate and manage database solutions, including MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

    + Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and participate in DevOps practices.

    + Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to deploy and manage applications.

    + Contribute to frontend and full-stack tasks with exposure to Angular and Node.js.

    + Apply testing methodologies and tools to ensure high-quality code.

    + Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.

    + Utilize message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) in event-driven architectures.

    Skills:

    + Java 11/17/21 development (5+ years)

    + Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, Spring ecosystem (4+ years)

    + Go (Golang) production experience (1–2 years)

    + Microservices architecture and RESTful API design

    + OpenAPI / Swagger knowledge

    + Database technologies: MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

    Experience:

    + Extensive professional experience in backend development with Java and Go.

    + Experience working with cloud platforms and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.

    + Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular, Node.js) is a plus.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative experience in agile teams.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
