Join UPMC Shadyside's Oncology Team!
UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Full-Time Patient & Family Concierge to join their team in the Hematology/Oncology unit 7 Main!
Shift/Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), with alternating weekdays and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required.
About the unit & position:
7 Main is a 27-bed hematology-oncology unit specializing in the treatment of leukemia. The length of stay is long for most patients on 7 Main, so we have a family resource lounge and rehab equipment directly on the unit. Provide compassionate, personalized support to patients, families, and visitors. Duties include coordinating patient/visitor destinations, assisting with environmental and dietary services, transporting patients and equipment, managing supplies, and performing administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

+ Administrative Support: Coordinate tests and transports, manage patient charts and documentation, answer phones, update bedboards, order supplies, and complete audits.
+ General Duties: Respond to call lights, interact with patients, promote mobility, maintain resource materials, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
+ Exhibit UPMC values and experience behaviors (AIDET, The Promise, 10-5 Rule, Own Your Zone) in all duties. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
+ Genuine desire, drive, and compassion to consistently deliver exceptional patient and family experiences

+ Minimum 6 months' experience as a Patient & Family Concierge or equivalent role
