Job Description
Responsible for performing Supply Management tasks in accordance with industry standard basic practices and techniques. Procurement Specialist may also perform a variety of other Supply Management Functions as required to support procurement activities for assigned projects.
_*This position is a full time, non-rotational position located at NANA Worley headquarters in Anchorage*_

Responsibilities
+ Leading strategic planning initiatives for all procurement related issues.
+ Development implementation and monitoring of procurement practice standards and procedures.
+ Assist in the development of and overall management of Project Procurement plans.
+ Ensure HSE considerations are applied, where appropriate, in the Procurement process.
+ Ensure best practice, continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned are commonly shared amongst the Procurement team members.
+ Set clear directions and expectations for the Procurement team members to ensure that the customers’ needs and expectations are fully satisfied.
+ Ensure that the customer’s Procurement requirements and concerns and the needs of multiple stakeholders are being identified and managed.
+ Attend client meetings as a key member of the project management team.
+ Works with Project Managers, Engineering, Project Controls and HSE to ensure the project is set up and executed in full compliance with all the Procurement requirements.
+ Establishes and maintains effective communication within the department and throughout the organization including the communication of the Company’s business strategy and success on a regular basis.
+ Keeps project manager/engineer up-to-date on staff availability, staff schedules and planned absences.
+ Represents organization with major customers, shareholders and the public.
+ Provide advice on commercial and legal aspects of Procurement to the Project Managers.
+ Provide advice on Procurement processes, procedures, guidelines and systems to the Project Managers.
+ Ensures compliance with all Company policies, procedures and practices.
+ Promotes and upholds ethical business practices.
+ Prepares project reports for management, client or others.
+ Updates Sr. Management on project successes and obstacles.
+ Elevates matters of prioritization and conflict resolution when necessary to Senior Management.
+ Maintains effective communications and coordination between the client and the Procurement team to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Identifies and conveys scope and scope changes, schedule and schedule changes to procurement team, project team, support groups and all involved Department Heads.
+ This position has supervisory responsibilities.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ B.S. degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Technical and/or Legal from an accredited university.
+ Minimum five (5) years industry related experience. Experience must include strategy, negotiation, establishment and management of complex contractual arrangements for major development projects.
+ Experience must include Oil & gas industry specific training and working knowledge.
+ Active member in supply chain management or related associations preferred.

Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, word processing software; Excel spreadsheet software; Outlook e-mail software; and any other discipline-specific design or analysis software, as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Procurement Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, clients or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, word processing software, and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
