Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for an Data Engineer to join the team of its main OEM customer based in Dearborn, MI. This person will be joining the Enterprise Services organization of the customer, and will be focused on engineering, developing, dashboarding analytics for the customers internal HR, Payroll, Finance, etc. This role is fully encompassing between technical expertise, cross collaboration, documentation, etc. This role requires an on-site presence in Dearborn, MI 4 days a week.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead integration of WorkForce Software with internal/external systems using APIs and web services (SOAP, REST)

• Configure and tailor WorkForce Software modules (Time, Scheduling, Integrations) to meet Ford’s business needs

• Collaborate with data teams to integrate WFS data into Ford’s data lake for analytics

• Design and build custom reports and dashboards for workforce insights and compliance tracking

• Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle—from requirements to post-implementation support

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure system stability and performance

• Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation (e.g., integration specs, configuration guides)

Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Labor Affairs, and analytics teams to ensure successful delivery

Compensation: $60/hr to $68/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

- 5+ years of experience with Workforce Software (WFS) or other enterprise Workforce Management (WFM) systems

• Experience with Kronos & TWOS are both preferred as well

- Proven track record in system integrations using APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and ETL processes

- Strong SQL skills for data querying, analysis, and reporting

- Familiarity with data architecture and integration into data lakes or analytics platforms

- Experience designing and building reports and dashboards

• Either Qlik Sense or Power BI

Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Master's degree

- Relative Workforce certifications

- Experience with large HRIS implementation

- Scripting experience

Automotive domain experience
