### Job Duties
Being a peer specialist who has gone through similar journeys that many of our clients/families are currently on is a deeply impactful role and an important perspective that we highly value on our team. Join our multidisciplinary Community Mental Health & Wellness team at Wilder and help us provide services that support our community's mental wellness; these services are critical to Wilder's mission of improving lives today and for generations to come! As a peer specialist at Wilder, you will participate as a member of multidisciplinary teams, providing comprehensive in-home and community-based rehabilitative mental health services to individuals living with mental illness, or to parents/family members who are caregivers of a child with mental illness. This may include individualized peer supports that address a person/family's recovery goals and skill development. In addition, the peer specialist may perform some case management and coordination of services. If hired as a bilingual staff - the peer specialist will interact with clients by speaking English and another language.
Wilder is a first-implementer Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). As part of this innovative model of mental health care, we collaborate closely with other service partners to ensure coordinated, integrated care for clients and their families. While we are set up to serve the entire community, we are known nationally for our culturally-specific mental health services. Join a team who brings their diverse identities, cultures, lived experiences and skills to provide mental health and wellness services that are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and impactful for the whole family.
