First Student is currently seeking an **Operations Supervisor** to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our school buses, including supervising drivers and monitors, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient transportation for students.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times

+ Ensure drivers have the necessary paperwork and follow proper procedures

+ Coordinate field trips and daily route assignments

+ Assist drivers with route planning and ensure proper fueling and maintenance schedules

+ Observe personnel safety practices and take corrective action when needed

+ Support Location Manager in training sessions, disciplinary meetings, and kick-off events

+ Occasionally drive a bus if needed

+ Assist the dispatcher as required

+ Manage small locations under the direction of the Location Manager

+ Ensure routes comply with state, local, and vendor requirements

+ Review employee time sheets prior to payroll submission

Qualifications:

+ 3–5 years of experience in the transportation industry

+ Strong supervisory and leadership skills

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

+ Proficiency with computers

+ Must meet DOT drug testing and physical requirements (Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, are prohibited under DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40)
