Facilities Maintenance Technician – Temp to Direct
**Location:** Baltimore, MD
**Pay Rate:** $ 32.00/hr
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (weekends as needed; on-call 24/7 rotation)
**Assignment Type:** Temp-to-Direct Hire (Automatic pay increase when convert)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled **Facilities Maintenance Technician** to support daily operations, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems across **two medical office buildings in downtown Baltimore** . You’ll work as part of a small, dedicated **engineering team of three** , ensuring all building systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.

What You’ll Do
+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and lighting.
+ Complete assigned tasks such as painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting (bulbs/ballasts), water treatment, and general facility upkeep.
+ Maintain and close work orders daily in the CMMS system and respond promptly to tenant service requests.
+ Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls.
+ Support on-call and emergency response situations when required.
+ Comply with all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
+ Participate in technical, safety, and operational training programs as needed.
+ Perform additional maintenance-related duties and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
+ 3+ years of related experience in building or facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repair.
+ Trade school, union training, military service, or technical college education preferred.
+ **Universal CFC EPA Certification** (or willingness to obtain within the first year).
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and CMMS work order systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 feet, and perform physically active maintenance duties.
+ Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend work.

**Pay Details:** $32.00 per hour
