    Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time clinical-track faculty member to work in the Hospital Services Section. Primary clinical responsibilities will include direct patient evaluations/consultations and follow-up visits as a member of the Transplant Consultation-Liaison team. Provision of clinical care will primarily include patients specific to solid organ transplant (heart, lung, liver, kidney). Secondary clinical responsibilities will be as a hospitalist which may include coverage of the Adult Inpatient Consultation-Liaison Service, Psychiatry Emergency Services and/or the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry unit.

The successful candidate will participate in the clinical, administrative, and teaching aspects in Psychiatry Hospital Services. In addition, candidates will participate in both transplant and CL clinical conference meetings and consult with various members of multidisciplinary medical teams.

Interest and experience working with solid organ transplant populations is preferred but not required. The candidate will join a dynamic group of hospital-based psychiatrists under a leadership team that values clinical ability and educational effort.

Academic interests are encouraged. Accomplishments such as book chapters, development of educational programs, and inquiry about the clinical aspects of the provision of care are examples. Programmatic research is not expected and specific protected time to do research is not allocated.
