Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:

+ You will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.

+ You’ll work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Sales teams to support new product introductions, improve manufacturing processes, and resolve production issues.

+ This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, contributing directly to continuous improvement initiatives and technical training within the production team.

Responsibilities:

+ Assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical components and subassemblies.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and support process improvements.

+ Recommend updates to documentation such as work instructions, checklists, and troubleshooting guides to enhance manufacturability and quality.

+ Support Manufacturing Engineers with data collection, process testing, and validation of new tools or parts.

+ Participate in new product introduction (NPI), including test plan creation, execution, and reporting findings.

+ Deliver technical training sessions and provide work direction to assemblers and technicians when required.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to ESD practices and PPE standards.

+ Analyze data, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions to improve production efficiency and quality.

+ Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support daily operations.

Experience:

+ 1–3 years of hands-on experience in assembly, manufacturing, or testing.

+ Proficient with hand tools, electronic test equipment, and software-driven systems.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.

+ Detail-oriented and analytical mindset; able to perform root cause analysis and report findings.

+ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and data documentation.

+ Knowledge of ESD protocols and general manufacturing safety procedures.

+ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform work under hoods or similar controlled environments.

+ Strong teamwork and a continuous improvement mindset.

Skills:

+ Hands-on experience in assembling and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and optical systems.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and process improvement.

+ Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support new product introduction (NPI).

+ Proficiency with hand tools, test equipment, and basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
