    Your day at NTT DATA

    As a Senior Collaboration Technology Sales & Design Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be a dual expert in AV system design and collaboration technology sales. You’ll lead the full design process—from ideation to production—while also driving sales opportunities and building trusted relationships with clients. This hybrid role combines technical leadership with strategic sales engagement, ensuring that every solution is tailored to meet client goals and business outcomes.

     

    You'll use a blend of sales methodologies, opportunity plans, and account plans to keep the sales process on track. Your deep understanding of the client's business, combined with your knowledge of technology solutions, will allow you to personalize recommendations effectively. By continuously assessing risks and developing new business channels, you'll ensure that our collaborations align with client objectives and lead to long-term success.

    To thrive in this role, you need to have:

    Sales & Client Engagement

    + Identify, qualify, and close collaboration technology opportunities within assigned accounts.

    + Generate and manage your own sales pipeline while partnering with Client Managers and pre-sales architects.

    + Conduct client workshops and presentations to articulate solution value and secure deals.

    + Define and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and meet/exceed sales quotas.

    + Maintain awareness of competitive landscape, pricing, and vendor offerings.

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including senior leadership.

    + Design & Engineering

    + Lead the development of AV system designs, including drawings, BOMs, SOWs, and cost proposals.

    + Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand requirements and deliver optimized solutions.

    + Create conceptual diagrams and detailed documentation to support implementation and delivery.

    + Conduct site visits to assess conditions and incorporate findings into system designs.

    + Ensure successful handover to installation and support teams through thorough documentation and standardization.

    + Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to process improvements.

    Required Skills & Abilities:

    + Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales and financial goals.

    + Advanced ability to build meaningful client relationships and influence decision-makers.

    + Strong presentation and communication skills across technical and executive audiences.

    + Deep understanding of AV systems, conferencing platforms, and network architecture.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Ability to interpret architectural drawings and integrate AV solutions.

    + Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and customer service skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to urgent deadlines.
