_What’s the job?_
Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Mold Attendant I is responsible for the inspection, packaging, and handling of product coming from their assigned machines. This includes identifying and separating defects, ensuring packaging is erected, and ensuring that the product is packed according to work instructions or other documentation. They are also responsible for 6S of the production floor and production documentation as required.
Responsibilities:
EHS and 6s
+ Ensure safe work environment in the plant.
+ Identify, eliminate, and/or communicate any unsafe conditions
+ Complying to all PPE requirements
+ Maintain and improve cleanliness of assigned working areas
Quality
+ Understand and communicate good quality parts
+ Abide by all ISO 9001 and 14001 procedures
+ Ensure product packaging specification are followed
+ Perform basic visual quality checks
Production
+ Watch and notify appropriate personnel of any defects in parts. Also watch UPC, labels and boxes
+ Inspects, trims, sorts, counts, and packages parts.
+ Can locate and comprehend work instructions to ensure proper boxes, labels, and pallet count
+ Learn proper boxing techniques to ensure parts are boxed properly

+ High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

In 1990, Cedar Impressions- Polymer Siding was invented as a result of the vision for a new siding product and a collection of great minds working together. Since its inception, the product has set CertainTeed apart from our competitors. The McPherson plant has grown from 5 molds in 1990 to 28+ molds in 2022 and will continue to expand its production capacity and automation capabilities.
