    Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a HVAC Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift to join their team. As a HVAC Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operational efficiency of large industrial equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance within manufacturing or food service environments. This role involves working with large industrial machinery and refrigeration equipment, including coolers. Candidates should have hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems in a production or facility setting.

     

    **Job Title:** HVAC Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift

    **Location:** Forest Hills, MI

    **Pay Range:** $31

    **Shift:** 6:30AM - 3:00PM, Monday through Friday

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform extensive preventive maintenance on HVAC-related equipment to ensure optimal operation.

    + Inspect equipment for worn or loose parts, replace filters, lubricate, and make necessary adjustments.

    + Diagnose system failures using appropriate tools, software, and technical knowledge, then repair or replace damaged components.

    + Maintain safe, clean, and organized mechanical rooms, ensuring compliance with safety standards and policies.

    + Create work order requests for repairs or adjustments, documenting equipment history and costs accurately.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + HVAC degree or certification, with relevant experience in maintenance roles.

    + Freon reclaiming certification and a valid Michigan Driver's License.

    + Knowledge of HVAC control software (Honeywell, Tour, Andersons, etc.) and related equipment.

    + Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and interpret system diagrams.

    + **Must have experience working with large industrial equipment such as chillers, boilers, pumps, and control systems.**
