Title: IT Program/Project Management Lead

Position Overview:

+ Avanade is seeking a highly skilled Lead Azure Software Engineer to guide a team of software engineers in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud applications. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership, drive architectural excellence, and foster collaboration across teams to deliver secure and high-performing Azure-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to a team of entry- to mid-level software engineers.

+ Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable cloud applications.

+ Develop, debug, and review secure, high-quality production code using Python and Azure SDK.

+ Drive creative software design, development, and problem-solving efforts.

+ Identify opportunities for automation and operational stability improvements.

+ Conduct vendor evaluations and participate in architectural design assessments.

+ Promote a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the team.

+ Provide input to leadership regarding budgets, technical strategy, and process optimization.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in software engineering.

+ 2+ years of experience leading technical teams to deliver complex software solutions.

+ Strong coding proficiency in Python and Azure SDK.

+ Hands-on experience with Azure services (Storage, Compute, Integration, IAM, Network).

+ Expertise in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) and Azure-native cloud solutions.

+ Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar tools.

+ Strong understanding of Azure governance, security policies, and compliance.

+ Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

+ Proven track record in system design, testing, and operational stability.

Preferred Skills:

+ Exposure to Azure AI services.

+ Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

+ Familiarity with the services industry and enterprise IT systems.
