    **Position Title:** Cost Accountant

    Overview:

    Adecco is partnering with a leading manufacturing client to identify a talented **Cost Accountant** to join their team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the **Controller** and **Operations Manager** by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with monthly closings, budgeting, and reporting, and driving process improvements that support business performance and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Support the monthly financial close process and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

    + Partner with operations to manage and monitor plant MRO spending.

    + Assist in preparing and presenting plant financial statements and related reports.

    + Review and analyze plant and project performance to identify key operational issues and opportunities for improvement.

    + Collaborate with all levels within the accounting and operations teams to ensure financial needs are met.

    + Prepare supporting schedules and work papers for the annual audit process and reconcile to the general ledger.

    + Develop and maintain profitability analyses for plants and projects/jobs.

    + Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.

    + Identify and recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

    + Maintain Fixed Assets (PPE), Capital Expenditures (CIP), and related reporting.

    + Support special projects, ad hoc analyses, and financial presentations as requested.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    + Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; experience with percent-complete and project accounting in the construction industry is a plus.

    + Demonstrated experience in standard and job costing.

    + Highly motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    + Strong analytical skills and business acumen.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

    + Minimum of 3–5 years of public accounting experience, **or** 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
