    Job Title: Site Safety and Health OfficerJob Description

     

    We are seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to lead safety initiatives on a $35 million Design Build project. This role focuses on ensuring comprehensive safety and health measures are implemented effectively throughout the construction project.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee and manage the safety and health aspects of the project site.

    + Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures in alignment with NAVFAC standards.

    + Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.

    + Coordinate with construction management teams to integrate safety measures into all project phases.

    + Ensure that all personnel are trained and adhere to safety protocols.

    + Prepare and submit safety reports and documentation as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Usace, Qcm, and Rms systems.

    + Experience with 3-phase quality control processes.

    + Strong background in construction and construction management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Active EM385 certification.

    + OSHA30 certification.

    + Proven experience working on projects of similar size and scope.

    Work Environment

    The role is based on a construction site involving the development of an ARC Training Building, Vehicle Maintenance Shop, and Unheated Storage on a Marine Corps base. The environment requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic construction setting.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
