2nd Shift MIG Welder – Steel Fabrication | Huntley, IL

Job Overview

We’re hiring a skilled 2nd Shift MIG Welder to join our growing team in Huntley. This role involves working on custom steel welding projects, including 7-gauge and 10-gauge tanks, using MIG welding techniques with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. You’ll operate independently at your own workbench and follow detailed blueprints to complete precision welds.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum components.

+ Fabricate and assemble custom tanks and steel structures from blueprints.

+ Maintain high-quality welds with minimal supervision.

+ Operate in a clean, air-conditioned welding booth with your own dedicated workspace.

Required Skills & Experience

+ Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.

+ Experience in steel welding and metal fabrication.

+ Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.

Preferred Certifications

+ AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6

+ ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (for piping)

+ 2nd Shift Hours: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
