    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for reconditioning heat exchange plates. This involves removing old rubber gaskets, cleaning and testing the plates for defects, and preparing them for shipment by gluing new gaskets and transferring them to the oven.

    Responsibilities

    + Recondition heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets.

    + Clean plates using power washing techniques.

    + Test plates for cracks or holes using specialized materials and equipment.

    + Glue new gaskets onto the plates and transfer them into an oven for adhesion.

    + Package plates for shipment.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of manufacturing or production experience.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Ability to work in a team.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Self-motivation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + General labor experience.

    + Experience with packing, loading, and material handling.

    + Manufacturing and production knowledge.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, assembly, and packaging.

    + Forklift operation skills.

    + Cleaning skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an open manufacturing warehouse with a team of 12 current or former employees. The environment is not climate-controlled, and the position requires adherence to safety dress codes, including steel-toed boots and jeans. The company provides safety glasses and gloves. This is a first-shift opportunity, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of working Saturdays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
