Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Germantown, Maryland. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with financial procedures. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Manage accounts payable entries within Microsoft Dynamics SL, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve payment-related issues.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions and documentation.

• Monitor and respond to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status.

• Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities.

• Ensure adherence to financial controls and auditing standards.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.

• Identify opportunities for improving accounts payable processes and implement solutions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics SL is required.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Familiarity with financial controls and auditing standards.

• Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes is preferred.
