Job Title: Accounting RepresentativeJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Representative specializing in Travel Reimbursements and Accounts Payable. This role involves preparing expense reports and invoices for payment, including receipt verification and travel-related reimbursements. You will be responsible for initiating check disbursements and organizing check documentation for signatures. Furthermore, you will distribute completed checks to the appropriate recipients and research discrepancies to ensure proper general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and enter invoice payment batches into Oracle.
+ Initiate and organize check disbursement for all invoice payments.
+ Research and resolve discrepancies related to general ledger accounting.
+ Prepare and enter all accounts payable related journal entries, including monthly and year-end accruals.
+ Interact with various departments and Board Members for inquiries.
+ Maintain and enter customer information and prepare customer invoices.
+ Code incoming payments to proper GL accounts.
+ Post member payments and support cashiers as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all 1099 related regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Prior experience with bookkeeping fundamentals.
+ 2-4 years of experience in accounting roles.
+ Experience with Accounting Software, Oracle preferred.
+ Familiarity with General Ledger account coding structure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
+ Experience with Concur for expense management.
+ Knowledge of purchase orders, invoice processing, and reconciliation.
Work Environment
The role is on-site in a nice building located in Beverly Hills, working in cubicles alongside three other Accounting Representatives. The standard work hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule in the future. The workweek consists of 35 hours, spread over 7 hours per day. If the candidate becomes permanent, they will enjoy comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and Pension. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.13 - $26.13/hr.
