The Opportunity:

The Inside Sales Manager leads and develops the Customer Service, Design, and Inside Sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture and driving team success. This role will be responsible for daily activities, coach team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with commercial goals and customer expectations.

How you will impact Smurfit-Westrock:

* Lead, coach, and develop the team to meet and exceed sales targets.

* Develop/manage processes to improve communication, effectiveness, and ensure processes alignment

* Improves speed on new item review process

* Monitor team performance through KPIs and dashboards; provide regular feedback and performance reviews.

* Partner with Area Sales Managers and Commercial Excellence teams to align on customer engagement strategies.

* Oversee onboarding, training, and development of new team members

* Collaborate with HR and Compensation to ensure role clarity, career pathing, and incentive alignment

* Drive continuous improvement in processes, leveraging tools and insights to optimize efficiency.

* Serve as a key point of contact for escalations and complex customer interactions.

* Support hiring efforts, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.

What you need to succeed:

* Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred; associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered

* 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

* Proven track record of managing and developing successful sales teams.

* Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

* Demonstrated ability leveraging order entry systems, CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), and reporting systems

* Familiarity with Inside Sales operations, purchasing workflows, and customer lifecycle management.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

* Collaborative mindset with a passion for coaching and talent development.
