    Position Summary** **:

    As a Buyer Planner at Dover Motion, your key responsibilities will include product line planning, supplier management and negotiating and administering purchase orders. Additional tasks involve implementing engineering changes, handling non-conforming materials, and ensuring effective material presentation for production efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities** **:

    + **Buyer:**

    + **Supplier Management:** Establish and oversee supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost standards are met. Provide open-order reports to main suppliers, track on-time delivery performance, and act on any identified underperformance.

    + **Purchase Orders:** Negotiate, create, and manage blanket and purchase orders per MRP/Kanban needs. Ensure favorable PO pricing, order materials from reports and Kanban cards, follow up on late POs, adjust as needed and resolve discrepancies.

    + **Product Development PDP:** Generate quote spreadsheets for requested quantities, request quotes, complete the spreadsheet, and prepare a summary for review.

    + **Planner:**

    + **Implement Engineering Change Order (ECO):** Review ECOs, update Oracle attributes per material strategy, notify finance on parts for costing and activation, and inform stakeholders of ECO requirements.

    + **Planned Order Report:** Prepare and distribute make-and-buy planned order reports. Procure inventory in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with specified delivery dates.

    + **Work Order Maintenance:** Enter work orders based on Sales Order Acknowledgments and planned order reports. Monitor work orders to ensure timely execution and closure. Update work orders as needed based on exception message reports.

    + **Material Shortage Reporting:** Generate and distribute shortage reports to the appropriate production cell. Update backlog with gaiting items and add shortages and countermeasures to the SQDIP boards. Escalate shortages as required and fix negative inventory problems. **Kanban Card Maintenance:** Create and maintain Inventory Management at Gem (IMAG) boards. Update Kanban boards to show incoming material status. Adjust Kanban sizes for demand changes. Manage unexpected demands with Kanban spikes.

    + **Material Review Board (MRB):** Generate return to supplier purchase orders, scrap transactions for non-conforming materials and return to stock materials designated for use as is (UAI).

    + **Production Cell Material Presentation:** Ensure materials are presented to maximize efficiency, material flow and safe handling.

    + **Inventory Accuracy:**

    + **Cycle Counts:** Run daily cycle count reports, perform recounts, reconcile, approve counts, and request approvals based on monetary values. Add new parts to the cycle count program as required.

    + **Documentation and Work Instructions:**

    + **Department Procedures:** Create and maintain procedures and work instructions as needed and ensure compliance.

    Qualifications** **:

    + 3+ years in a buyer/planner role in manufacturing, with experience in Kanban and Lean methods.

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.

    + Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office Suite.

    + Experience in low volume, high mix product environments.

    + Excellent communication and people skills.

    + Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset and multi-tasking ability.

    + CPIM or similar certification preferred.

    Travel** **:

    + <5% of overnight travel required for the position.

    Pay Range

    The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 71,100.00 - 132,100.00
